Do you know the word `sonder`?

I experienced sonder packing up my crochet kit at the end of the last day of my crochet course. We spent four Sundays together, learned a craft that hopefully will accompany all of the attendees throughout their lives, and now we are departing.

But not with empty hands … look at these crochet bunnies! They were created by beginners, needless to say, I am as chuffed as the creators are.

Remember, it’s all about building blocks. You learn one basic stitch. Then you learn how to increase and decrease your rows. And then you find out how to go around. And 4 sessions later, you have a crochet bunny!

Sonder. It’s the realization that each person around you, even random passersby are living a life as vivid and complex as your own. They all left, and they all went on their epic journeys that continue invisibly around me as I continue on my own journey invisibly around them.
